Marleau, Onésiphore (1922-2018)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday October 16th, 2018 at the age of 96 years. Son of the late Jack « Giovanni » Marleau and of the late Alexandrine Marleau (née Nadeau). Beloved husband of Rollande Marleau (née Quesnel) of Sturgeon Falls. Dear father of Richard (Pauline), Rhéal (Christine), Armand (Marielle) and Gilles (France) all of Sturgeon Falls. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Anne (Dave), Jean (Linda), Michel (Stephanie), Eric (Josée) and Renée(Eric) as well as his great-grandchildren Anna, Zander, Samuel, Maya, Jenna, Joshua, Logan, Brook and Emma. Predeceased by his brother Fernand (late Florence) and sister Anita Gagnon (late Léo). Let’s not forget his favorite pastime Alvin and Amos, his Haflinger horses.Onis was very involved in his community and was a founding member of the Caisse Populaire de la Résurrection as well as serving 25 years as a Councillor in Springer township. Once retired, he loved rebuilding wagons and working in his shop from 8 to 5 where his friends could stop by and chat. A heartfelt thanks to the staff at the West Nipissing General Hospital and the Paramedics for their care and compassion. A celebration of life will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, John street, Sturgeon Falls, October 30th, 2018 at 11:30.
