Viau, Ernel (1932-2018)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Thursday December 27th, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Son of the late Wilfrid Viau and of the late Perside Viau (née Laframboise). Beloved husband of 60 years to Viola Viau (née Pilon) of Sturgeon Falls. Dear father of Normand (Marlene) of Ingersol, Gilbert (Berthe) of St. Charles, Diane Wills (Rick) of Sudbury and of Suzanne Bédard (Gerry) of Hagar. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Josée (Sylvain), Paul (Maxine), Michel (Jenny), Briana (Jordan), Chantal (Dave) and Yves (Renée) as well as by his 9 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brothers Gilles (Marilyne), Jean-Louis (Mariette) and Richard (Huguette). Predeceased by his brother Aurèle (Yvette of Chelmsford) and by his sisters Cécile Viau and Paulette (late Eric). Ernel’s favorite pastimes included fishing, playing violin, playing cards and relaxing at the cottage. His favorite thing of all was to be with his family. The family will receive friends at the Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, on Monday December 31st, 2018 after 10 am. The funeral service will follow at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Donations to the West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
