Miron, Guy (1939 - 2022)
La famille annonce avec regret son décès survenu à Sturgeon Falls, le jeudi 1er septembre, 2022 à l’âge de 83 ans. Fils de feu Médard et de feu Marie-Jeanne (née Gagnon) Miron. Époux bien-aimé de feu Colombe (née Rivest). Chèr père de Daniel Miron et Sylvie Pilon (André). Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses petits-enfants William (Nadine), Wesley, Joshua, Ashley, Jean-Pierre (Kellen), Maxime, Samuel (Kally), Éric (Mélanie), Guy (Angèle), et ses arrières-petits-enfants Hunter, Kaden, Konnor, Keston, Quinton, Finley, Jacob, Loik, et Evan ainsi que ses nombreux cousins, cousines, beaux-parents, neveux, nièces et ami(e)s. Frère de Jacqueline Lavallée (feu Yvon), Micheline, Carole, et Lise Sabourin (Michel). Prédécédé par ses frères et soeurs Jacques, Gaston (Gaby), Valois/Norm (Solange), et Carmen.
Mon père, un très bon mari pour notre mère et un homme très souriant, bonne humeur, positif, toujours aimable et le meilleur père au monde dans mes yeux.
Grand travaillant sur tout ses emplois tells que : ses cantines, propriétaire d’un restaurant, les autobus scolaires, le Ministre du logement de l’Ontario pour Verner et Field, barman a plusieurs hôtels et au centre de récréations pour des certaines événements et plusieurs autres jobines.
Sans oublier qu’il aimait jouer aux cartes avec ses copains au Club de l’Amitié à Verner et presque tous les soirs on jouait au crib chez moi. Il adorait faire ses sudokus, ses mots cachés et ensemble nos petits exercices et prendre ses marches en plein air.
Il a subi au-delà de dix opérations chirurgicales durant sa vie mais malgré ses maladies, notre Dad avait toujours le goût de vivre car il me disait toujours :
« Tounne – J’aime Vivre »
On t’aime tellement Dad et on te manquera pour toujours. Ta présence et ton esprit dans nos cœurs est engravé jusqu’à la fin de nos jours. Maintenant repose en paix parmi ceux que tu aimes et va rejoindre ta chère épouse et notre belle maman.
Un gros remerciement aux docteurs, infirmiers, infirmières et aux PSWs qui ont bien pris soin de notre père à l’Hôpital Général du Nipissing Ouest.
La famille recevra parents et amis à l’église St-Jean-Baptiste, Verner le samedi, 24 septembre à 10h00. Une messe funéraire pour Guy et Colombe Miron sera célébrée vers 11h00. Les arrangements funéraires sont confiés au salon funéraire Théorêt-Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls. Que vos témoignages de condoléances se traduisent en dons à la Société de l’Alzheimer, à la Fondation des maladies du Cœur et de l’AVC, la Société Canadienne du Cancer ou à l’Association de Malentendants Canadiens.
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Thursday, September 1st, 2022 at the age of 83 years. Son of the late Médard and of the late Marie-Jeanne (née Gagnon) Miron. Beloved husband of the late Colombe (née Rivest). Loving father of Daniel Miron and Sylvie Pilon (André). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren William (Nadine), Wesley, Joshua, Ashley, Jean-Pierre (Kellen), Maxime, Samuel (Kally), Éric (Mélanie), Guy (Angèle), and his great-grandchildren Hunter, Kaden, Konnor, Keston, Quinton, Finley, Jacob, Loik, and Evan as well as by his many cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Dear brother of Jacqueline Lavallée (late Yvon), Micheline, Carole, and Lise Sabourin (Michel). Predeceased by her siblings Jacques, Gaston (Gaby), Valois/Norm (Solange), and Carmen.
My father was a wonderful husband for our mother. He could always be found smiling, positive, and in good humor which in my eyes made him the best father in the world.
A hard worker in all that he did including his canteens, owner of a restaurant, school buses, the Ontario Ministry of Housing for Verner and Field, Barman at many hotels and at the recreation center for certain events, as well as many other little jobs.
He liked to play cards with his friends at the Club de l’Amitié in Verner and he frequently played crib at my house. He loved Sudokus, word searches as well as exercising and taking walks together.
A survivor of more than ten surgeries during his lifetime, amidst the illnesses my father still had a love of life and told me frequently:
“Tounne – I love living”
We love you so much Dad and will miss you forever. Your presence and your spirit will forever be engraved into our hearts. Rest in peace amongst those you love and go be with your beloved wife, our beautiful mom.
A special thank you to the Doctors, nurses, and PSWs who took such incredible care of our father at the West Nipissing General Hospital.
Family will receive friends at the St-Jean-Baptiste Church, Verner on Saturday, September 24th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. A mass of Christian burial will follow for Guy and Colombe Miron at 11:00a.m. Funeral arrangements in care of the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society, the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society and the Canadian Hard f Hearing Association would be greatly appreciated.
