Tina and I have been friends most of our lives! Though in high school, we were Best Friends. We shared many secrets as most teenagers do! We had good clean fun! After school, Tina and I would go to "Danis'" Corner store and share a bag of Hostess chips in the foil bag, a Virginia chocalate bar and a Mountain Dew!! Almost every day we sat on the old Coke cooler and dreamed our teenage lives away! When she was in hospital, I brought her a Lays'chip (no small Hostess), a caramilk chocolate bar and each a Mountain Dew! She was quick to remind me that it was indeed Virginia that we ate! She was right and had remembered!! We had a chuckle about that!We went to the JEC dance every Saturday night! Tina would go to Gaudet's and get a sample of cloth and made a new dress almost every week!!We had many dramas at the JEC but mostly fun!For our grade 12 Graduation, we thought we were too cool to go, so instead, we went to town, dressed in our hippie attire (it was the sixties you know!), sat on the curb which is now the flower shop and ate possicles! We would laugh at the American tourists going by with skis on the roof of their cars, thinking they would find a ski hill in the sweltering June heat!! lol Those were the days my friend! As we grew older, we went our seperate ways but I always felt a connection with Tina nonetheless! Both unfortunately and fortunately, her illness brought us back together! We spoke about old times as if it was yesterday, and the fun we had! We were dreamers and still are! So sweet dreams my dear friend!God only chooses special ones to lead the way for the rest of us.
