The family announces with sorrow her death in Sturgeon Falls, Wednesday January 10, 2018 at the venerable age of 104 years, 9 months. Daughter of the late Mathias Joly and of the late Mélanie (née Nadon) Joly. Wife of the late Louis Murphy. Loving mother of Lorraine Major (late Kenneth) of Field, Gisèle Legault (late Patrick) of Sturgeon Falls and Suzette Morin (late Alcide) of St. Antonin, Québec. Madame Murphy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 9 grandchildren and her 11 great- grandchildren. Being the youngest of the family, Florida was predeceased by all her siblings, Stephanie Binette, Rose Alma Paquette, Emma Gingras, Alvanise Michel, Wilfrid, Henri, Théodore and Joseph. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews. The Murphy family invites relatives and friends to join them for a funeral mass in celebration their mother’s life Wednesday January 17, 2018 at 11 am at Notre Dame des Victoires Church, Field.
