Fisher, Brandi-Lee Morningstar (1985 – 2023)
The family announces with sorrow her death in Ottawa, Tuesday August 8, 2023 at the age of 37 years. Dearly loved by her mother Julie Restoule, her stepfather Peter Restoule and her late father Stephen Fisher. Dear sister of Kelly Fisher (Tonio Sadik), Tory Fisher, and sister-in-law Tamara. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandparents Gertrude Fisher (late Joe), nieces Nesewin and Ziigwan, uncle Stacey Fisher and family, her step sisters Paige and Nathalie Restoule, Aunties, Uncles, and cousins, her friends and colleagues, and her fur babies Dean and Collin. Predeceased by her grandparents Isadore and Stella Beaucage.
Brandi-Lee spirit name is Waskone and from the Fisher clan. She was a graduate of Carleton University with a degree in Cognitive Sciences. She loved exercising in her spare time and will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and strength. When not exercising or spending time with her friends or family, her greatest joy was playing with her beloved dogs Dean and Collin.
The family will receive friends at the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls for visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 12. A traditional Nishnaabe ceremony will follow at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. followed by a burial. The family invites friends and family to the sacred fire to offer their semaa (tobacco) and for food at 105 Cranberry Crescent until closing fire at 5pm on Friday August 11, 2023.
