Lang, Catherine (née Fitzgerald) 1956 - 2021
It is with profound heavy hearts, the Lang family announces the passing of a beloved daughter, wife, mother and Nana.
Left to treasure her memory are her best friend, husband, confidant and caregiver, of 40 + years Michael Lang, daughter Melissa (Joe) Cross, son Bryan (Angie) Lang, grandsons Cole and Mason.
Catherine aged 64 of Bell Island, passed on September 23, at Nipissing Serenity Hospice, following a long battle. She is predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Rosalie Fitzgerald; sisters Margaret, Geraldine, and Theresa; brothers Kevin, Paddy and Philip, nephew Shawn; sisters-in-law Margaret Fitzgerald and Barbara Fitzgerald, brother-in-law Frank St. Croix. Leaving to mourn her passing are her brothers John (Gwen), Peter (Barbara), Gerald (Lillian), Francis (Ros), Leo (Carol), Gerard (Kay); sisters Rita St. Croix, Ann (Wally) Coady, Madeline (Bob) O’Brien, sisters-in-laws Ada and Barb, as well as many nieces and nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
There will be a celebration of life and catholic mass to be announced at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Catherine’s memory to Northeast Cancer Centre, Sudbury ON, or the Nipissing Serenity Hospice, North Bay ON.
