Lang, Charles (1952 – 2022)
The family announces with profound sorrow Charlie’s death at the Sturgeon Falls Hospital, Thursday June 30, 2022 at the age of 70 years. Beloved husband of Brigitte (née Demeter). Loving father of Crystal Lang (Max Piette) and Michael Demeter Sit. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Victoria and Alexandre. Son of the late Eleanor (née Edwards) and predeceased in marriage to Arthur Lang and M.J. Soards. Dear brother of Treena Lang (late Gilbert Lemay) of Petawawa. Predeceased by his brother Robert (Lorraine) of Timmins.
Charlie was the retired manager of Metro in North Bay, Pembroke, Deep River, and Sturgeon Falls after 52 years of service. Always a community supporter and ardent promoter of West Nipissing. He was a founder of the Sturgeon Falls Special Events Committee. Organizer of the Trucker Show N Shine. Catalyst behind the Surgeon Falls Step and Fiddle, organizer of the first Santa Claus Telethon, the parade of lights and a sound supporter of the S.F. Senior Supper, Canada Day Celebration, Soups On, and Safe Halloween to name a few. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family, friends, and all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at the Comfort Inn, 11 Front Street, Sturgeon Falls, Ontario on August 11 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral arrangements in care of the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
