Clarence was married to Nancy for 74 yrs. (deceased May 2022). They raised 6 children after moving from Elmira to Monetville, in 1950.

He was a wonderful family provider and a hardworking carpenter/farmer. He also enjoyed bush work in the winter using horses and sleigh. Clarence built houses for a contractor in Sudbury for 13-14 yrs. and also built 5 on his own. After working in Sudbury, he expanded his beef herd to ship cream for approx. 10 yrs. His 4 sons worked with him on the farm and also learned his carpenter trade. They are still at it today.

Clarence was a committed member of the Calvary Mennonite Church. He was the church treasurer for many years (sharp mind for numbers) and enjoyed playing his harmonica at the church and for other occasions.

Some will remember him for his farming, plowing & growing crops. Others will remember him for his quiet nature and good integrity.

Your example as a hardworking man and commitment to your wife, family and God will always be remembered.

Psalms 37:3 Trust in the Lord, and do good. Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
