The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Wednesday, December 18th, 2019 at the age of 80 years. Son of the late William Plante and of the late Maria Plante (née Lapierre). Loving husband of Catherine Plante (née Smith). Dear father of Diane Breedon (late Barry), Richard Plante and Sheila Quesnel (Gilles). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 3 grandchildren; Tyna (Don), Jason (Nathalie), Matthew and 6 great-grandchildren; Sophie, Wyatt, Joshua, Ashley, Makaila, and Damien. Brother of Claire Brassard (late Yvon), Dorilé Plante (Gaëtanne), Cécile Fournier (late Marcel), Annette Labelle (late Raymond), Carmille Plante (Dawn), Rodrigue Plante (Jeanne), Gilles Plante (late Thérèse), Hubert Plante (late Chantal), Yvon Plante (Linda), Maurice Plante (Suzanne), Christine Haymes (Doug) and Étienne Plante (Diane). Predeceased by his siblings Albias (Gisèle), Marcel (late Flore), Fernand (late Berthe), Vital (late Normande) and Roch (Brenda). Claude was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved to work in the woods. He spent 45 years working alongside his wife at their construction company. Cremation arrangements in care of Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
