The Savage Family and The Williamson Family have been Mattawa Seasonal Friends for many years. John, my dad, suffered a stroke 35 years ago and was unable to communicate easily. Claude was one of those patient folks who would sit and chat with dad, on the deck of the trailer, the deck that Claude helped to build. Sometimes, they'd talk about fishing or cars. Other times, women and wives and who knows what else. Dad passed away two summers ago. Although many of us are very saddened to hear of Claude's passing, I believe my Dad is very happy to have Claude up in heaven with him. I believe they are, once again, talking about fishing, women, wives, hunting, the river, the trailer, their life adventures and of course, cars. Please know we are thinking of all of the Savage families and that we feel your pain. Love Doreen, Barbara, Johnny, Aimee, Katie, Derek, Tom and Nodin.
