FAITH, HOPE, CHARITY and the greatest of these is LOVE.
After a wonderful 73 years of unconditional love and true commitment to each other, the family announces with sorrow the incredible ending of an inspiring love story. This unfolded naturally with the passing of Bertha Coupal (née Bélanger) on the evening of September 29, 2019, and the passing of Donat Coupal the following afternoon, September 30, 2019, both at the age of 92 years. Loving parents of Annette Newcomb (John) of Simi Valley, California and Ronald Coupal (Donna) of Nanaimo, British Columbia. Predeceased by their sons Gary Coupal, Raymond Coupal and baby Donald. Cherished grandparents of seven and great-grandparents of four. This amazing couple resided in several towns in the northern Ontario including Elliot Lake and Sturgeon Falls, before residing at Nipissing Manor in Corbeil. Donat is survived by several siblings. Donat and Bertha are survived by many friends. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Nipissing Manor for the excellent care given to Donat and Bertha. A funeral mass of thanksgiving for such a beautiful example of love and dedication will be celebrated Thursday October 3rd, 2019 at 11 am. in Sacré Coeur Church, Sturgeon Falls.
