The family announces with sorrow his death in North Bay, Sunday, February 16th, 2020 at the age of 64 years. Son of the late Henri Lafond and of the late Graziella Lafond (née Philion). Caring partner of Anna Desloges. Dear father of Tanya Major (Kelly) and Eric Lafond (Sharise). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Abby, Lily, Ruby and Ethan. Brother of René, Léo, André, Claude, Gaëtanne, Alice, Yvette, Denise, Jeanne and Colette. Predeceased by his siblings Aline, Rita and Guy. Gaëtan was a hard working and dedicated carpenter who took pride and sought perfection in all of his work. He was very resourceful and creative when troubleshooting an issue. The family will receive friends at Sacré Coeur Church, Sturgeon Falls, Saturday, February 22nd, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am followed by a lunch at the Royal Canadian Legion.
