Shank, Bernard Guy (Capt’n Morgan) June 8, 1955 – Feb 16, 2024
The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Bernard Guy Shank on February 16, 2024 at the age of 68 years. Son of the late Alcide Shank an of the late Yolande Shank (née Bernard). Loving father of Chistine Linklater (Norm), Clyde Shank (Wendy), Alcide Shank (Jessica), Nadia Tremblay, Harley Shank (Megan), Alyshia Coutu (Todd), and Yolanda Shank (Devin). He will be dearly missed by his 18 grandchildren. Dear brother of Gail Bouchard (Yves) and Mario Shank (Estelle). Predeceased by his brothers Alcide Shank, Guy Deforge, and Gaetan Shank.
Guy was a jack of all trades. From trapper, to lumberjack, to mechanic, he was a very capable and multitalented individual. Guy had a great sense of humor with a great charm about him. He will be fondly remembered for the love he put into all his art displayed at the Cache Bay library, the Sturgeon Falls museum, and surrounding areas. He loved being in nature, surrounded by animals and birds. His presence will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangement in care of the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. A special thank you to Alyshia and Todd Coutu for all their care and support of Guy during his last days.

Père bien aimé de Christine Linklater (Norm), Clyde Shank (Wendy), Alcide Shank (Jessica), Nadia Tremblay, Harley Shank (Megan), Alyshia Coutu (Todd), and Yolanda Shank (Devin). Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses 18 petits-enfants. Frère de Gail Bouchard (Yves) et Mario Shank (Estelle). Prédécédé par ses frères Alcide Shank, Guy Deforge et Gaetan Shank.
Guy était une personne à tout faire. De trappeur à bûcheron en passant par mécanicien, il était un individu très compétent et aux multiples talents. Guy avait un grand sens de l’humour et un grand charme. On se souviendra de lui avec tendresse pour l’amour qu’il a mis dans toutes ses œuvres exposées à la bibliothèque de Cache Bay, au musée de Sturgeon Falls et dans les environs. Il aimait être dans la nature, entouré d’animaux et d’oiseaux. Sa présence manquera beaucoup à sa famille et à ses amis.
Une célébration de vie sera annoncer a une date ultérieur. Les arrangements funéraires sont confiés au Salon Funéraire Théorêt-Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls. Plus sincères remerciements à la famille d'Alyshia et Todd Coutu pour leur soins et leur support lors de ses derniers jours.
