Emery H. Dokis(Mohawk)
After a lengthy and courageous battle, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emery H. Dokis on Sunday June 28 2020, with his family by his side. Loving and cherished husband of Mary Dokis of almost 51 years (July 5) and beloved Son-in-law to Granny. Emery leaves behind his sons Sid and Jigger and his daughters Mabel and Loretta. Cherished Honorary dad to Kimberly Petersen (Ian) and Kim Sault and proud Papere to his four-legged kids and Grand dogs, Mik, Jidimo, Miigwaans, Nimkii and Harley. Proud Papere to Adam, Leah (Justin), Talbot, Elix and Hayli. Greatest Ever Papere to Punkin (Lily) and Pontoon (ELi). Emery is survived by his youngest brother Clarence and his Aunt Carmen and Aunt Marianne(Alda) as well as his God children Chris and Sally, several nieces, nephew's, family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you consider some words of wisdom from Emery. "Travel Safe", "Work Hard", and "When you're heading to town, I don't have any money!" 😉
Services and viewing will be held at Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls on Thursday July 2, 2020, from 2PM.-4PM. and 7PM.-9PM. Mass will be held on Friday July 3, 2020 at 10am. Followed by the Burial in Dokis First Nation at the Old Graveyard.
