The family announces with sorrow his death in North Bay, Monday, July 7, 2014 at the age of 74 years. Son of the late Thomas Major and of the late Mary (née Larocque) Major. Predeceased by his first wife Thérèse (née Bigras) Major. Loving husband of Solange (née Hérard) Major of Field. Dear father of Steve (Jane) of Field, Marc (Jennifer) and Tammy Major both of Sturgeon Falls. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Theresa, Lee-Anne, Travis, Destiny and Remington. Survived by his brothers and sisters, Léona Langevin of Field, Victoria Chatelain and Anita Séguin both of North Bay, Gord of St Charles and Ronald of Field. Predeceased by his brothers, Gerald, Kenneth, Lorney, Woodrow and by his sisters, Ethel Lafantaisie, Edna, Eva and Rita. The family will receive relatives and friends at Notre-Dame-des-Victoires Church, Field, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am.
