My deepest sympathies to Kim, Patrick and Cameron,
I first met Jacqueline when she was the school librarian, where each of our sons attended . I enjoyed taking walks, talking about flowers, picking fruits and having social gatherings with her. I can still hear her quiet little laugh. Jacqueline was a beautiful person and a good friend.

Dear Kim and family,
Please accept my deepest sympathies. Among my good memories of Jacqueline are our pleasant walks, our french conversation, our painting session and the wonderful time we had listening to music, even pushing the dining table out of the way and dancing to the french songs that she loved. Jacqueline will always have a special place in my heart.
Thinking of you in your time of sorrow.

Dear Kim,Patrick and Cam
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Jackie. My deepest sympathies to all of you.
I met Jackie shortly before Patrick and Andrea were married. She was easy to talk with and I enjoyed her gentle ways.
When Lucy was born we shared our joy of being gramas for the first time.
Lucy and I would have tea with Jackie on Fridays as often as we could before she moved.
Lucy loved that Grama would pick her raspberries from the garden She loved playing in Gramas flowers and picking them. Jackie always had music playing when we came and Lucy would sing Baby Beluga at 2 years old.
Lucy and Elliott have so many of Jackie’s qualities in them. We talked about Jackie with Patrick Andrea Lucy and Elliott.
We talked about how Jackie thought it was so important they were brought up with lots of music Elliott said that that was exactly like him. He loves singing and music and is going to be in a band one day.
Lucy loves flowers We talked about Jackie’s love of flowers. Lucy said me too. I love their colours shapes and smells.
They both love books and reading.
I think Jackie would be so proud of them and the influence she has had without knowing. We will keep her memory alive with them and she will continue to influence them and watch over them.

My mom was a strong willed, independent, intelligent woman. She loved music, learning languages, reading, and taking care of her plants. Whenever I see raspberries, water a house plant, or go to the library I’ll think of her.

She raised me and my brother to have a social conscience, and to feel that our opinions are important. She discussed human rights, politics, feminism, poverty, war, racism and religion at the dinner table with us, and took us seriously, even when we were teenagers who disagreed with everything she said. She was determined to do everything she could for us.

When we found out she had Alzheimer’s, she told me her only regret in life was that she didn’t get to know her grandchildren. She got to meet them and know them a bit before she became too sick, but we were robbed of that phase of her life. I wish my kids could have known her like I did. Sometimes my daughter Lucy does something that reminds me of my mom, and it’s bittersweet. I love being reminded of her, but it hurts to know what we’ve lost.

I’ll miss her.
