Obituary for Jacqueline Edison (Badgerow)
Edison, Jacqueline (née Badgerow) 1972 – 2024
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces her passing at Maison McCulloch Hospice on Friday, January 26th, 2024, at the age of 51 years, after a courageous battle against cancer. Jackie grew up in Warren, ON and was the daughter of the late Robert “Bob” and of the late Consuelo “Connie” (née Leyson) Badgerow. She leaves behind a legacy of love as the beloved mother of Joshua Edison (friend Faith Gagnon) and Ella Edison, whom she shared with Charles Edison. Her children were her greatest source of pride and joy, and they will forever treasure her compassion, smile, and laugh. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her siblings Andrew Mendoza (Carmen) of Brampton, Rob Badgerow (Colleen) of Garson, Joanne Badgerow (Nick Ayotte) of Val Caron, and Mark Badgerow (Marie) of Ottawa. Predeceased by her brother Benji. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jackie worked as a medical administrator at the Oshawa Hospital and then as a supervisor at Union Energy Inc. She enjoyed playing piano, taking walks, and held a deep affection for horses. She had a kind, loving, and caring soul who always put others first. She was a very welcoming person and is described as the warmth of the family. Special heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Maison McCulloch Hospice for their exceptional care and support given to Jackie and to the family. Visitations will be held at the Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, 2 Racette Street, Verner, ON, on Friday, February 2nd, 2024 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment at Warren Protestant Cemetery will take place in the Spring.
