Obituary for Jacqueline Pretty (Beaudette)

Jacqueline Rose Pretty (née Beaudette)
With profound sadness we announce the passing of our mother Jacqueline Pretty, on October 19, 2019 at her home with family by her side.
She was raised in Sturgeon Falls by her caring late parents Aurèle and Rhea Beaudette. Sister to Jean-Guy (Karen), Ron (Shirley) and Louise Goulard (Paul).
Loving wife of Thomas Pretty for 53 beautiful years. They married on July 2, 1966 and lived their life as best friends and partners in crime. Their love story and their memorable adventures will continue to be shared in our family gatherings for years to come.
She was a highly skilled seamstress, an avid bingo player and could be found at the kitchen table coloring with her grandchildren in the last years of her life.

What she loved most of all was her family. She instilled in her children Jody (Anne), Lynn Courchesne (Jacques) and Billy-Jack (Melissa) strong values that have served them well. Her home served as a place for family diners, late night card games and an abundance of laughter and love. Of this, she was most proud.

Her heart belonged to all her grandchildren Robby (Julie), Tommy James (Morgan), Kylie, Corey (Halli), Tyler, Andra, Tara Rose and Dean, who knew her best as Memère. She would spend hours and days entertaining them regardless of the disaster they would turn her home into. She was blessed with one great-grandchild, Averie-Lynn Pretty, who was the apple of her eye. She will be dearly missed by each of them and forever in their hearts.

The family would like to thank Dr Janique Vandal for the exceptional care and compassion she provided our mother through her illness.

A private family memorial will be held in her honor at a later date. Donations can be made to the West Nipissing General Hospital Chemotherapy room in her honor.
