McQuabbie, Joseph Leonard (1963 – 2023)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Wednesday December 27, 2023 at the age of 60 years. Son of the late Wilfred McQuabbie and of the late Simone Galipeau (née Perrin), and stepson of the late Edward Galipeau. Beloved husband of Rose McQuabbie. Loving father of Josée Tremblay (James Plante). Stepfather to Amanda Gallant McIntyre and Christie Robin Baker. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 8 grandchildren and by his many nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Linda Ratelle (Ron), Lilly Ducharme (Yvon), Dan Fader (Lorraine), Pat Bergen (late Dieter), Art Galipeau (Jill), Roger Galipeau (Karen), and Kathy Bourbonnais. Predeceased by his siblings Steve McQuabbie, Gary Fader (Valerie), and Michael Fader (Christine). A special thank you to the doctor and nurses at West Nipissing General Hospital for their companionate care of our brother. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements in care of the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
