Obituary for Joyce Beaucage

Beaucage, Joyce Theresa (1957 - 2020)

On Tuesday, January 28th, 2020 at the age of 62 years, surrounded by family, Joyce began her journey to the spirit world.
Daughter of the late Isidore Beaucage and of the late Stella Beaucage (née Chevrier). Loving mother of Lisa Beaucage and Amy Beaucage (Dwayne Marier). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren whom she adored beyond measure, Lucas Armstrong-Beaucage and Angel Armstrong (Donovan Rich). Sister of Carol Croxon (Leo), Gerry Beaucage, John Beaucage and Julie Restoule (Peter) as well as a dear sister-in-law to Glenna Beaucage. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and godchildren who she was always so happy to see.
Predeceased by her brother Ralph Beaucage (Glenna) and precious niece Amanda “Mandy” Beaucage.

Joyce was happiest when surrounded by family for special occasions and ‪sunday dinners‬. She was renown for her tea biscuits, a recipe passed down from her mother, which were sometimes used as currency in return for favours or gifts for family members and friends. :-)

Joyce lived and worked in Nipissing First Nation and will be fondly remembered by many friends, community members and coworkers. She enjoyed volunteering for Parish fundraisers in the community, and making food donations to our annual pow wow feast.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Bourgault of Verner, Dr. Pitre and Dr. Carlson of Sudbury Health Sciences North, for their outstanding level of care and compassion for Joyce. We would also like to thank the nursing staff and doctors at the West Nipissing General Hospital for their care in her final days and allowing all of our family to be there to send her off in our own way.

The family will receive friends at Holy Spirit Church, Garden Village, ‪Monday, February 3rd, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm‬ and ‪7:00 pm to 9:00 pm‬. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated ‪on Tuesday, February 4th, 2020 at 11:30 am‬ at Holy Spirit Church, Garden Village. A lunch will be held afterwards at the Band office Hall. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements in care of Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
