Beauparlant, Léonard (1933-2020)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Saturday January 18th, 2020 at the age of 87 years. Son of the late Élie Beauparlant and of the late Maria Beauparlant (née Lalonde). Predeceased by the love of his life his wife Liliane (née Bédard). Loving father of Nicole (Don), Marc (Cheryl), Luc (Tina) and of the late Bernard (Diane). He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Mélanie, Josée, Rodney, Daniel, Chantal, Jessy, Tyler, James and Jason as well as by his great grandchildren McKenna, Jadyn, Jacob, Alec, Cameron, Alyssa, Rianna, Isaac, Wyatt, Lucas and Levi. Léonard is also survived by his brothers and sisters Fernand (Clémence), Claudette (late John), Gilles (Georgette), Monique, Gaëtan, Jean-Marie (Pam) and by his brothers and sisters in law of the Bédard family, Jeanine (Normand), Fernand (late Gilberte), Denis (Sue), Rollande the late Hector and the late Aurèle. He will also be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends at the Villa Aubin. Léonard worked for INCO for over 30 years. He was active in his community of St. Charles and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. The family’s greatest joy and source of comfort is in knowing that his utmost wish was granted as they all gathered around him for a wonderful family Christmas. The smile on his face for the family pictures says it all. A heartfelt thanks goes out to Uncle Gilles for the loving care he provided to our Dad and to the staff at the West Nipissing General Hospital, specially to Dr. Martin Desjardins who took such good care of our Dad. The family will receive friends at the Théoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Friday January 24, 2020 from 11 am. until 2 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 2:30 pm at Sacré Coeur Church, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to Paroisse St. Charles Borromé Church would be appreciated.
