Obituary for Lorraine Gervais (Perreault)
GERVAIS, Lorraine (née Perreault) 1942-2007.
It is with a deep and abiding sorrow that the family announces her death in Sturgeon Falls on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the age of 64. Loving wife of 43 years of Jeannot Gervais of Sturgeon Falls. Beloved daughter of Antoinette (née Delorme) Perreault of Sturgeon Falls and of the late Georges Perreault. Beloved mother of Carole (Norm Ethier) and Marc both of Sturgeon Falls and Ginette (Yvon Potvin) of Meaford. Her greatest love was her grandchildren to whom she was very devoted. She was the cherished and adored Mémère of Stéphanie and Martin Ethier, Dominique and Véronique Gervais (mother Angèle Aubin-Pye), Mérick Gervais, Skyler, Kreston and Kara Potvin. Dear sister of Guy (Roberte) and Paul both of Sturgeon Falls, Claude (Mado) of Gatineau, Quebec, Richard (Rita) of Cochrane, Michel (Marlene) of North Bay, Daniel (Lucie) of Sudbury and by her very special sister, Claire Cayen (Gérald) of Gatineau, Quebec. Also survived by her mother-in-law, Marguerite Gervais (née Cté) of Sturgeon Falls (late Armand), her sister-in-law, Lise Dutrisac (Reg) of Cornwall, and by her 33 cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Lorraine was spirituality accompanied on her final journey by her little sister Diane who passed away in 1963 and who would have celebrated her 52 birthday on January 28, 2007. Lorraine's gentle nature touched the hearts of many avid golfers and bingo players. Her passion for these games and presence at these events will be sorely missed. Her smile and good heart will always be with us.
The family will receive relatives and friends at THEORET-BOURGEOIS FUNERAL HOME, Sturgeon Falls, on Friday, February 2, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacré Coeur Church, Sturgeon Falls, on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 11 am. Donations to the West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
