Marlene Guillemette (née Barnes) 1938-2022

After a courageous battle, it is with great sadness that the family announces her death in Sudbury on Saturday, May 21st, 2022, at the age of 82 years. Daughter of the late Fred Barnes and the late Helen Barnes (née Secord). Marlene is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Alyre Guillemette. Dear mother of Ricky (Mona), Paul (Sue) and Colette Schell (Paul). Predeceased by her son Alex Barnes (Debbie). She is also survived by her daughter Alice Tigchelaar (John) and extended family. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Patrick, Amanda (Vanessa), Christa, Laura (Mathew), David (Sally), Jason (Jennifer) Joshua, David (Nicole) and Cody as well as her great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Julien, Susan, Evan, Sadie, Stella, Brooke, Lincoln, Tyler, Rose, Weston, Henry and Archibald. Sister of Wayne, Wendie, Jerry and Paul. Predeceased by her siblings Gord, Fred, Bill, Leona and Ethel. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Pioneer Manor, Sudbury for the excellent care provided. You made her short stay memorable for us. Family will receive friends in the St. David parish hall, Noëlville, on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022, from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 26th, 2022, in St. David’s Church at 2pm. Funeral arrangements in care of the Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
