Samson, Mary Jean (née Donnelly) 1925 – 2023
On Friday February 24, 2023 at the age of 97 years Mary Jean went to be with our Lord. Daughter of the late Wilmer and late Clarissa (née Fenn) Donnelly of Wiarton. Beloved wife of the late Roger. Dear mother of Richard (Deborah), Michele Taylor (Rod), Marc (Marlene), and Roger (Rohey). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Adrien (Kimberly), James (Lindsay), Cameron, Valerie, Ryan (Ashley), Rory, Matthew, Crystal, Jenny (Michael), and her great-grandchildren Alexandria, Austin, Evelyn, Maya, Grayson, Isabelle, Ethan, and Carter. Predeceased by her siblings Marjorie King (late Roy) and James (late Velma). The family expresses a heartfelt thanks for the loving care she received by all the wonderful staff at Au Château. After a long career as a teacher she enjoyed retirement by involving herself with the community. She was especially happy coordinating ladies throughout the area with the fabrication and distribution of Cancer Society Chemo Hats. However her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday May 13th at 1 pm at St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, Sturgeon Falls. Funeral arrangements are in care of the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations to St Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, 253 King St. Sturgeon Falls, P2B 3A1 would be sincerely appreciated.
