Obituary for Norman Mathieu
Mathieu, Norman (1951 – 2021)
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces Norm's passing on Friday, July 2, 2021 at the age of 69. Son of the late Armand Mathieu and of the late Jeanne (St. Louis) Mathieu. Beloved husband of Colette (Levac) Mathieu. Loving father of Sophie Edwards (Randy). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Cole and Keandra. Dear brother of Louise Mathieu (Sylvain) and Joanne Mathieu (Wayne).
An avid golfer noted for a club in one hand and beer in the other, he loved being on the golf course. A passion for ice-fishing (especially pickerel) and moose hunting, he loved the outdoors. You knew hunting season was approaching when the grocery list mentioned a giant bag of sunflower seeds. Always seen with a smile on his face and known for his midnight musical tunes (aka snoring), he will all also be remembered for his quick wit and sarcasm.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later by invitation only.

C'est avec le coeur lourd que la famille vous announce le décès de Norm le vendredi 2 juillet 2021 a l'âge de 69 ans. Fils de feu Armand Mathieu et de feu Jeanne (St. Louis) Mathieu. Époux bien-aimé de Colette (Levac). Père bien-aimé de Sophie Edwards (Randy). Tristement manqué et affectueusement rappelé par ses petis-enfants Cole et Keandra. Cher frère de Louise Mathieu (Sylvain) et Joanne Mathieu (Wayne).
Un golfeur passionné connu pour un bâton dans une main et une biere dans l'autre, il aimait être sur le terrain de golf. Passionné de pêche sur glace (surtout le doré) et de la chasse à l'orignal, il aimait le plein air. Vous saviez que la saison de la chasse approchait lorsque la liste d'épicierie mentionnait un sac géant de graines de tournesol. Toujours vu avec un sourire sur son visage et connu pour ses airs musicaux de minuit (alias ronfler), on se souviendra également de son esprit vif et de son sarcasme.
Une célébration privée de la vie aura lieu à une date ultérieure par invitation seulement.
