Violette, Paul Joseph (June 4, 1940 – Jan 1, 2024)
The family announces with sorrow his passing in Sudbury, Monday January 1, 2024 at the age of 83 years. Son of the late Joseph and late Marie (née Laurence) Violette of Sturgeon Falls. Father of Wayne (Karen) of Sudbury, Terry (Fred) of Vancouver, Mark (Joanne) of St.Charles, Colleen Violette of Sudbury and Medley Reid (Erin Mitchell) of Sault Ste Marie. Cherished grandfather of Corey, Maxine, Dustin, Desiree, Kyle, Dziane, Alexa, Michael, and great-grandfather of Sylas, Téya, Noah, and Caroline. Beloved husband of the late Simone (née Olivier) of Sudbury. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Cecile Rostas of Windsor. Predeceased by his siblings Madeleine Violette, Lucien Violette and Aline Potvin (Lucien Potvin) of Sturgeon Falls. Paul will also be leaving a void with his friends from the deaf community whom he would meet for coffee on a weekly basis. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to his dear friend Frank Zanini who helped care for him and offered solace during his final year. As per his wishes there will be no visitation and the family will have a small private gathering at a later date. Funeral arrangements in care of the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the Canadian Hearing Society would be greatly appreciated.
