Coutu, Raymond (1934 - 2020)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday, February 25th, 2020 at the age of 85 years. Son of the late Joseph Coutu and of the late Leona Coutu (née Belair). Loving husband of Georgette Coutu (née Paquette). Dear father of Nicole (Carl), Gilles (Lynne), Carole (Paul), Chantal (Robert), Luc (Roxanne) and André (Lesa). Predeceased by his son Denis. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Rachelle, Sophie, Mireille, Crystal, Bob, Curtis, Cody, Nicholas, Christophe and Jayden as well as his 4 great-grandchildren. Brother of Edgar (late Rollande), Marthe (late Rolland), Florestine (late Germain), Yollande (late Marcel) and Claudette (late Jean-Claude) as well as brother-in-law of Raymonde (Alcide). Predeceased by his siblings Lionel (late Gilberte), Lily (late Roger), Germaine (late Fernand), Lucien (Bertha), Florian (Huguette), Gérard (Claudette) and Marcel (Gisèle) as well as his brother-in-law Roger and sister-in-law Yvonne. Raymond worked for 32 years at INCO as a diamond driller. He was also a former owner of a Laundromat and Car Wash in the Lively area from 1979 to 1990. An active member of his community, he was involved in the Knights of Columbus, the Club d'Amitié and Meals on Wheels in the Verner region. Raymond was a devoted husband for 61 years and was a caring and loving father. The family will receive friends at St-Jean Baptiste Church, Verner, Saturday, March 7th, 2020 after 10:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am. Cremation arrangements in care of Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated (cheques only).
