Obituary for Raymond Franson

Franson, Raymond (1933 - 2022)

He was a rare combination of someone who had a quiet love of life, and a firm understanding of what was important - the simplicity of living a life with those you love. Ray was a good and kind man, respected by all who were fortunate to cross his path in life. One of his greatest legacy's is marrying the love of his heart, Marg Franson (Neault) and instilling into his children the values of dignity and integrity. An avid hunter and fisher, Ray shared his passion for the outdoors with his family, most often with his wife canoeing and camping. He is a wonderful grandfather who at one time or another, have carried all of his grandchildren on his shoulders. Now we carry him in our hearts... always. Raymond Franson. A good man.

The family announces with deep sorrow, his death in Mattawa, Tuesday March 1st, 2022 at the age of 88 years. Son of the late Victor and of the late Ethel (née McMartin) Franson. Beloved husband of Marguerite (née Neault) Franson. Loving father of Charleen Guilbeault (Brian), Cheryl MacHale (Greg Luoma), Steven MacHale (Sima), and Keith MacHale (Juliet). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Riley MacHale, Logan MacHale, Ben Kussman, Aurora MacHale, and Mason Guilbeault. Dear brother of Wesley, Wilma, and Bob. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. ln lieu of flowers and with respect to Ray's love of nature, the family ask for the planting of trees in memory of Ray.
