Obituary for Rhéal Sarazin

Sarazin, Rhéal (1940 - 2023)

It is with great sorrow the family of Rheal William Joseph Sarrazin announces his passing. He has left this world to be reunited with beloved wife Evelyn Sarazin who predeceased him 10 years ago. He is the late son of Patrick Sarazin and the late Maria Sarazin (Therrien).

He was a builder by trade but most importantly a husband to Evelyn Sarazin (predeceased), father to Ronald Sarazin, Curtis Sarazin (predeceased), Stewart Sarazin (predeceased)and loving father to Terri-Ann Sarazin (Rodney). Beloved grandfather to 8 grandchildren Jason Sarazin, Justin Sarazin (predeceased), Jennifer McDougall nee Sarazin (Andy), Jessica Saunders (Travis), Joshua Sarazin (Taylor), Jasmine Sarazin, Chelsey Brazeau (Patrick) and Curtis Sarazin.
The legacy continues with his 8 great grandchildren Evangelina, Mylee, Merrick, Ashlyn (predeceased), Taylor, Brooklyn, Daemon, Lily, Landyn, Layne, Lucy, Linkyn, Bentley, Reese, Grayson and Everly.

Our dearly departed was something of a story teller “you can be sure 50% of every story was true”. His life was large, loud and filled with inappropriate jokes and comments but most importantly it was filled with love. He was a man of many skills who would do anything for his family including loving them with his whole heart which was bigger than life. He worked his whole life to ensure his family was provided with the best life possible. He was selfless, empathetic, ambitious and honest. He was someone people looked towards for guidance and support. He was an example of someone who was true to himself no matter who was present or what kind of environment he was in. His contagious laugh will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his siblings Gerald Sarazin (Alma), Clara Sarazin Lawson (Danny), Fern Sarazin (Denise) and predeceased by Germaine Cayer (Edmo) and Rainy Sarazin (survived by Diane).

He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

The family expresses their appreciation to all staff at Health Sciences North who provided amazing care and ensured Rheal's final wishes were fulfilled in order for him to leave this world at peace.

You truly were the man the myth the legend. We will miss you always and forever.
