Obituary for Scott Commanda
SCOTT COMMANDA – Sunrise: January 5, 1982 Sunset: March 4, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of a kind and gentle soul – Scott Commanda on March 4, 2022 at the age of 40.
Son of the late John Commanda and Charlotte Lauzon (Louis Renaud). Dear father of Zoey Commanda. Dear brother of Kelly Wesley (Mike Closs) and Renée Commanda (David Wynne). Dear step-brother of the late Dustin Renaud, Jennie Cauchy (Caleb) and Louis 11 Renaud. Grandson of Liliane Coupal (Gram), the late Pit Coupal and the late Edward and Madeline Commanda. Dear uncle to Chloe, Athena, Trent, Carter and Brielle.
He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
Scott had a serenity about him that everyone who knew him felt in his presence. He was funny beyond words , either by something he said or did. We always laughed when he was around. Scott’s great passion (second to his daughter Zoey) was Hip Hop music (rap, turntablism, art). Friends since birth, Scott and his soulmate Yann wrote, created new beats and collaborated whenever they got together. While Scott rapped, Yann scratched records. They were the “Northern Soulz”. Scott was like a walking encyclopedia of knowledge (like google for the new generation) when it came to Hip Hop music and artists.
A traditional, cultural sacred fire was held in Garden Village March 8, 2022. Chi miigwech to all who attended, brought food and helped organize the celebration. A private celebration of life will be held Saturday March 12, 2022.

La famille annonce avec regret le décès soudain et inattendu d’un jeune homme doux et gentil – Scott Commanda, le 4 mars, 2022 à l’âge de 40 ans.
Fils de feu John Commanda et Charlotte Lauzon (Louis Renaud). Père de Zoey Commanda. Frère de Kelly Wesley (Mike Closs) et Renée Commanda (David Wynne). Beau-frère de feu Dustin Renaud, Jennie Cauchy (Caleb) et Louis 11 Renaud. Petit-fils de Liliane Coupal (Gram), feu Pit Coupal et feu Edward et Madeline Commanda. Oncle de Chloe, Athena, Trent, Carter et Brielle.
Lui survivent également plusieurs tantes, oncles, cousins et amis.
Scott avait une sérénité que tous ressentaient en sa presence. Il était tellement comique, soit par quelque chose qu’il avait dite ou faite. On riait toujours quand on était ensemble. La grande passion de Scott (après sa fille) était le hip-hop (rap, turntablism, art). Amis depuis la naissance, Scott et Yann écrivaient, créaient de nouveaux beats et collaboraient dès qu’ils étaient ensemble. Pendant que Scott rappait,Yann scratchait des disques. Ils étaient les “Northern Soulz”. Scott était une encyclopédie vivante de connaissances (comme google pour la nouvelle generation) lorsqu’il s’agissait de musique d’artistes hip-hop.
Une célébration traditionnelle et culturelle du feu sacré a eu lieu à Garden Village le 8 mars 2022. Chi miigwech à tous les gens qui ont participé, ont apporté de la nourriture et ont aidé à organiser la célébration. Une célébration privée de sa vie, aura lieu le 12 mars 2022.
La famille tient à remercier l’équipe Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), un service de santé mentale hors-pair qui lui a assuré une bonne qualité de vie.
