Stephanie Commanda (Zoongaabwe Kwe) 1977 – 2024
The family announces with great sorrow her passing after a sudden illness in Orillia at the age of 46 on Monday February 26, 2024.
Stephanie (Iffie) was an amazing soul with a love for music and karaoke, taking every opportunity to share her beautiful voice with her loved ones. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, always making them laugh and smile. She loved to share her many stories of silly moments and always lit up the room with her smile. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Stephanie was the daughter of the late Ronald and Beverley Commanda (nee McLeod). Loving mother of Patrick, Austin (Emily), Kyra (Brenden), and Trevor. Devoted grandmother of Liam Shilling, Mason Shilling, Noah Commanda, Oliver Jenkins-Commanda, and Winter Commanda. Amazing auntie to her many nieces and nephews, including Jaden and Amber who considered her like a second mother. Dear sister of Jimmy “Gaga” Commanda, Dawna Commanda, Tom Commanda (Tammy), Kim Commanda, and Courtney Commanda (Justin). Beloved friend of Dwight Sandy, Karen Carroll and her daughter Bella, and many others. Predeceased by her much loved twin brother Ashley.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Holy Spirit Church in Garden Village on Tuesday March 5, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at the Holy Spirit Church on Wednesday March 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements in care of the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
