Courchesne, Thérèse (née Fournier) 1936-2021

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that the family announces her unexpected death in Sudbury, Friday May 21st 2021 at the age of 84 years. Daughter of the late Pierre Fournier and of the late Angèle Lavoie. Best friend and loving wife of Hector Courchesne. Dear mother of Alfred Griessmeier (Dee Dee), Albert Griessmeier, Tommy Griessmeier, Ruby Howe (Troy), Carl Griessmeier, the late Richard Griessmeier, Murielle Courchesne (Léonard), Léo Courchesne (Aline), Gilles Courchesne (Sherry) and Georges Courchesne (Carole). Thérèse will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her fifteen grandchildren the late Zachary, Nikita, Kate, Christopher, Jayme-Lee, Taylor, Malori, Jeffery, Natalie, Éric, Mario, Chantale, Damien, Danika, Janelle and Cynthia, as well as by her 25 great grandchildren. Also survived by her brothers Lionel, Alcide (late Gisèle), Rodolphe, Normand (Lise). Predeceased by her siblings Denis (Irene), Lawrence, Béatrice, Laurent, Ronald, Fernand, Irène and Roland. Her many brothers and sisters in law will also cherish her memory. Known as probably one of the best cooks in the French River area, her friendly smile and welcoming attitude rewarded her with many lifelong friends. Due to pandemic conditions, a celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements in care of the Théoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
