The family announces with sorrow her death in Sudbury, Sunday, January 9th, 2022 at the age of 88 years. Daughter of the late David Commanda and of the late Theresa Commanda (née Lariviere). Wife of the late Thomas Lindsay. Dear mother of Jane Restoule, Laura Pitura (Garry) and Steven Lindsay (Cheryl). Predeceased by her son Tommy Lindsay. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Lois Lambert (Carl), Dawn Fielding, Paul Pitura (Shannon), Kristy Pitura (Andy), Trisha Pitura (Angus), Mathew Pitura, Chris Lindsay (Alexandra) and Laura Lindsay (Cameron) as well as her great-grandchildren Thomas, Daniel, Carley, Wynter, Declan, Berkley, Talon, Meeka, Rose, Nelson, Nora, Noodin, Wiingush, Waabanookwe, Adam, Mark, Dane and Levi. Sister of Bernie (Charles). Predeceased by her siblings John, Harold, Valerian, Edward, Fred, Ronnie, Louis, Alex, Charlotte and Bella. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff in Emergency and the 5th Floor South Tower of Health Sciences North for their extreme kindness to our mother and us during a most difficult time. Family will receive friends at the Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, on Wednesday, January 12th 2022 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Church, Garden Village on Thursday, January 13th, 2022 at 11am. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
