Obituary for Zofia Lubian
Zofia Lubian Dec 12, 1926 – July 25, 2019
Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Extendicare York on July 25th, 2019 at the age of 92. Dear mother of Witold Lubian and loving mother in law of Michalina Lubian. Cherished Babcia of Agnes Kus (Krzysztof), Norbert Lubian (Jacynthe) Konrad Lubian (Paulina) and Natalie Tsytsarin. She will be dearly missed by her great grand children Daniel, Dominick, Patrick, Alexander, Justin, Philip and Emma. Zofia immigrated to Canada from Poland in 1983 where she was later joined by her son and his family. Zofia looked forward to seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren on the weekends where she would often sneak money in their pockets. She enjoyed cooking and made the best Szarlotka (apple crumble pie).
Her family paid tribute to her, "She was the strongest woman we have ever known. We miss you Babcia. Kochamy Cię. "
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 3rd, 2019 at St Casimir’s Church, Sudbury at 1:30pm. The family would like to thank Extendicare York for their effort and dedication.
