Whenever I ran into Lucie she would remind me that I was the first one to hire her when she moved here from Iroquois Falls. That was long before she started her own business. She never forgot. She'd always say, "You were the first to give me a chance." And I would say, "I always had a nose for a good worker." That first job was at The Tribune. What a little power house she was. I can't remember a day that she didn't brighten by her presence. Truthfully, I think everyone enjoyed being in her presence. I remember once running into her in Temagami, at the gas bar.... she was coming back from Iroquois Falls and I was on my way to Iroquois Falls... It always seemed to be like that, running into each other at the odd moment, and each encounter was a memorable experience. Deep sympathy for her extended family and friends. I will also pray for the comfort and solace of all your broken hearts.
