I only worked with Ghis for 10 years but we did have a certain connection ........we were born the same year and were due to retire the same year.......Ghis was planning the retirement to end all retirements .....I think she was looking at a formal due with all the bells and whistles ......but it was not meant to be.  What I treasure the most was the late nights that we worked together .....lots of personal sharing, some tears and lots of laughter...stories of  "our men" and of course our kids and our escapades that led us to where we were... She had some incredible srories to tell about a life that was full of adventures and misadventures , trials and tribulations, much happiness and of course (as we all have) some sadness.   Gis's life has been cut short and her presence will surely be missed by all her family and loved ones ......but her spirit and her will  and her memories will stay with those who have had the privilege of sharing part of her life.  You always made me laugh Gis and for this I thank you.  You are now where we will all be some day ....see you then........
