One of my favourite and most treasured memories of my Uncle Andre is the Christmas our families spent out at the camp in the Woods. I was still a young girl and Uncle Andre wanted to help in making our Christmas a special one. We cut down a tree and popped popcorn and strung it onto the tree. Aunt Gilda had made us gingerbread houses to feast on (which the mice enjoyed as well). Uncle Andre discovered the tracks from Santa's sleigh and hoof prints from his reindeer. (Little did I know that the tracks may have looked similar to ski's or a snowmobile). It was the best Christmas ever and it was in large part to his young at heart attitude and generous spirit and kindness as a Dad and Uncle that has made it one of my greatest childhood memories. I adored my Uncle and Godfather very much and will miss him always!
