Anne Mary Agnes  Racine (née Gosson)
Born in Cache Bay, on April 27, 1937 to Mildred and Raymond Gosson-predeceased. Peacefully left this world on March 5, 2013 to be in Heaven with her Lord and all of her Loved Ones who have gone before her. Her journey to heaven was eased with the loving care of her daughter Christine at her side. Forever in the heart of her beloved husband of 56 years, Jean Paul (Sturgeon Falls). She was met at the gates of heaven by her youngest son Jean Paul Gosson Racine Jr. who was waiting to greet her with open arms. Cherished sister of Jenny Navid, Patricia Sayer (Tom), the late Mike Gosson (Linda) and Susan Lloyd (Don), all of Cache Bay. Beloved sister-in-law of Lucia Duguay (late Paul), Lucienne Tremblay (late Henri), Aurore Villeneuve (late Phil), Rene Racine (late Lucille), the late Aime Racine (Jeannine), Leo Racine (Jeannine) Stella Perrin (Rheal). She was also dearly loved by her many nieces, nephews and Godchildren.Through her faith and service to God she embodied the best of motherhood, family love and integrity, doing everything she did to the highest degree of excellence. Of utmost importance to her was raising her family of six children and passing her values onto them; Louise Dubyk of Oshawa (Bernie Thorne), Christine and Graham Baker of Chisholm, Raymond and his late wife Patty Racine of Nepean, Monique Racine-Theriault of Bowmanville. Stephanie and Shawn Thomas of Bowmanville and the late Jean Paul Racine Jr. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Craig Dubyk (Cara), Dayna Dubyk (T.J.), Sarah Renaudette (Randy), Emily Baker (Craig), Heather and Allison Baker, Vanessa, Renee and Jenni Theriault, Terra and Erica Thomas; and great-grandchildren, Larken, Noah, Nevaeh and Mya. Some of their favorite memories of time with their Grandmother were; camping, swimming and skating at the lake, watching Mrs. Doubtfire, picking raspberries, her special birthday cakes, having their hair done up in rollers and the amazing smiles and hugs she reserved especially for them.
Her work life included being the first manager at the North Bay Fur Sales, Secretary of the Sturgeon Falls Police Force and the OPP, Bookkeeper and PSW. She was also an active volunteer through the Church (CWL, Lay minister), the Girl Guides, Dragon Boat Racers, Member of Cache Bay 50's Club.
Anne Mary was renowned for her baking and cooking and ensured everyone around her was well fed, no one ever left her home hungry. The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff and caregivers to Cassellholme, North Bay, especially Monique.
Friends and family may join together to celebrate her life at Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, 119 King St, Sturgeon Falls. Sunday March 10 Visitation 11:00 am – 1:00 pm with Catholic Funeral Rite Prayers and Blessing at 1:15 pm
