The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday, November 13th, 2012 at the age of 71 years. Son of the late Isaïe Laplante and the late Albina (née Bigras) Laplante. Loving husband of Micheline (née Beauparlant) Laplante of Verner. Dear father of Luc (friend Lucie) of Brampton and Lise Girard (John) of Sturgeon Falls. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Ashley Girard. Also survived by his sisters Rachel Legault (Arthur) of Hanmer, Claudette Gélinas (Maurice) of Windsor, Laurette Violette (Lionel) of Warren and his brother Georges (Noëlla) of Sturgeon Falls. The family will receive friends in St. Jean-Baptiste Church, Verner, Saturday November 17, 2012 after 10:30 am. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 am. The family wishes to thank Dr. Klère Bourgault and the nurses at the West Nipissing General Hospital, for their excellent care and dedication.
