The family announces with sorrow her death in Sudbury after a hard fought courageous battle with cancer, Saturday May 17, 2014 at the age of 73 years. Daughter of the late Vital Pilon and of the late Yvette (née Seguin) Pilon. Loving wife of 52 years of Georges Demers of Alban. Dear mother of Carole Bernard (Richard), Normand (Martine), Georges Jr. (Kim) all of Hanmer and Daniel (Sherry) of Lively. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 9 grandchildren Josée, Chantal, Daniel, Justin, Alexandre, Gabrielle, Catherine, Andréa, Aléa and by her 5 great grandchildren Jordan, Zacharie, Tayhana, Davyn and Ariana. Also survived by her sisters Pauline Demers (André) of Alban, Mirelle St Pierre (Robert) of Noëlville and by her brothers Ronald (Murielle), Jean Noël (Aline), Oza (Diane) all of Noëlville. Predeceased by her sisters Carmen (Gérald Gauthier of Alban) and by her infant sister. Dear sister-in-law of Percy of Noëlville, Jeannette Lalonde (Raymond) of Azilda. Predeceased by her brothers-in-law Jean (late Muriel), Philippe and Rudolph. Armande loved quilting and was the founder of the French River Quilters. She was also a member of the U.C.F.O. and an active member of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church in Alban. The family will receive friends at Alban Community Centre, Alban Wednesday May 21th 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 and from 7:00 to 9:30. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday May 22nd 2014 at 11:00 in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church, Alban. Arrangements in care of Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home. Sturgeon Falls.
