Bernard (Ben) Leblanc, age 84, of Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Friday, August 21, 2015. Son of the late Adelard Leblanc and of the late Alma (nee Sabourin) Leblanc. Predeceased by his loving wife Irène Leblanc (nee Piché). Loving father of Roch (Loralyn) of Dawson City, Darcy (Mimi Tremblay) of Orléans, Roxanne (René Bisson) of Orléans, Michel of Sturgeon Falls and Darquise of Orléans. Cherished grandfather of Christian and Patrick Bisson, Andrew, Angèle and Crystal Leblanc. Predeceased by his brother Don Leblanc of North Bay. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the Montfort Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario, for their extraordinary care and compassion. Ben will be remembered as a kind and gentle devoted family man, for his perseverance, craftsmanship and his great sense of humour. The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Home, 2871 St. Joseph Blvd, Orléans (Ottawa), on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Funeral Ceremony will follow in the Heritage Chapel at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Montfort Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
