Cécile  Lajeunesse-Ruest (née Moreau)
It is with the deepest of sorrow that the family announces the passing of Cecile on February 10, 2015 in her 88th year at the West Nipissing General Hospital in Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by her parents, Leopold Moreau and Valida Boyer. Loving wife of Alderic Lajeunesse (deceased) and Dominic Ruest (deceased). Predeceased by her daughter Irene and son Percy Lajeunesse, her great grand-child Justin Colombe, her sisters Yollande Cleroux (Adelard) of Perth, Therese Lacroix (Feriol), Marie-Jean Levesque (Gerard) and her brothers Leo Moreau (Louise) and Omer Moreau, all of Ottawa, Ont. Mom will be lovingly remembered and forever in the hearts of her children; daughter, Barbara Colombe (Albert), sons Peter Lajeunesse (Nicole), Anthony (Tony) Lajeunesse, and Simon Lajeunesse (Francoise) all of Sturgeon Falls, and her sister, Yvette Desjardins (Eugene deceased) of Ottawa. Memere will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Brian Colombe, Lynn Colombe, Melanie Lajeunesse of Sturgeon Falls and Adam Lajeunesse of Kitchener, ON; and by her great-grandchildren Briana and Braden Colombe and Zoé Speck all of Sturgeon Falls. Cecile was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Catholic Women’s League of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, and past member of Les filles d’Isabelle. She enjoyed sewing, making crafts, knitting, and walking. Sincere thanks to the Nurses and staff at the Au Château with a special thank you to Martine Desormiers and Dan Roy. Thank you also to the caring staff at the West Nipissing General Hospital. The family will receive friends in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sturgeon Falls Friday February 13th 2015 after 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements in care of Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
