Obituary for Daniel Dale "Dan" Pigeau

Daniel Dale "Dan" Pigeau
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Dan, surrounded by family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday October 13th 2015, at the age of 62 years. Son of the late Dalton Pigeau and of the late Hazel (née Lennon). Loving husband and best friend of Louise (née Lachance). Treasured father of Dean, wife Karen and Lacey, husband Babe Laframboise. He will be sadly missed by his grandson Jack Dalton which he called his little boogaloo, and his step-grandchildren Yves (wife Max and baby Téya) and Stephanie Laframboise. Cherished brother to Joyce (late Gerry) of Coniston, Jimmy (Margaret) of Burlington, late Geraldine (late Fern Henri), Deanna (Larry Shank) of Sturgeon Falls, Wayne (Rachel) and Linda (late Mike Gosson) all of Cache Bay, and Terry (Mary-Jo) of Port Elgin. Dear brother-in-law to Roger Lachance (Louise), Gilbert Lachance (Thérèse), Hélène Castilloux (Claude) all of Cache Bay and to Gisèle Brûlé (Paul) of Sturgeon Falls. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews as well as by many friends. Dan worked for many years as a Millwright at MacMillan Bloedel in Sturgeon Falls before his boating accident in 1983. He was a proud firefighter and served the town of Cache Bay well as its fire chief. His love for life and his strong-will touched the lives of so many. He loved everyone and his smile was infectious. A lover of many sports, he loved the Toronto Maple Leafs and he will forever cheer on his most favorite team of all, the Toronto Blue Jays. The family would like to thank all for the wonderful care he received during his stay at the hospital. The family will receive friends at Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Friday October 16th, 2015 after 10:00 am. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Donations to the Canadian Spinal Research Organization, North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation or West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated (cheques only).
