The family announces with sorrow the death of Donald Abbey in Sturgeon Falls, Thursday June 19th 2014 at the age of 81. Loving father of Don (Susan) of Kitchener, Ken Lillejord (Valerie) of Tavistock, Michael Lillejord (Helen) of Trenton, Catherine Butts (late George) of Watford and Debra Haggerty (Mark) of Welland. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren and by his nieces and nephews. Survived by his sisters Sadie Wolak of Welland and June Sauers of Fort Erie. Predeceased by his Dad John Abbey and his mother Catharine Abbey (née Dowde) brothers Francis, Harry, John, Murray, George, Richard, sisters Margaret and Rosalee. The family will receive friends at the Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday June 24th 2014 from 10:00 am. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel
