The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Monday June 24, 2013 at the age of 84 years. Son of the late Emile Serré and the late Blanche (née Vallière) Serré. Predeceased by his wife Georgette (née Martin) Serré. Loving father of Yvon (Catherine), Raymond (Joyce), Robert (Mireille) all of Petawawa, Jean-Guy (Joanne) of Crystal Falls, Michel (Murielle) of Longlac, Jocelyne Lanouette (Pierre) of Chalk River and Gilles of Verner. Predeceased by his daughter Suzanne. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 14 grandchildren and by his 23 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sisters Yvette Beaudry (late Léonard) of Sturgeon Falls, Georgette Turcotte (late Paul) and Lucille Prior (late George) both of North Bay. Predeceased by his brothers Gérard and Marcel and by his sisters Rita Armitage and Claudette Gardner (late Bill). The family will receive friends in Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Church, Crystal Falls Thursday June 27, 2013 after 10:30. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00.
