Fernand  Trottier
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Saturday, November 23rd, 2013, at the age of 84 years. Son of the late Télesphore Trottier and of the late Louisa (née Laframboise) Trottier. Loving husband for over 60 years of Gilberte (née Giroux) Trottier of Warren. Dear father of Marc of Warren, Monique Racette (Léo) of Garson, Charles (Catherine) and Serge both of Sudbury. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 8 grandchildren Chantal, Lynne and Liane Racette, Sarah, Matthieu, Patrick and Joseph Trottier, and Julie Trottier. Also survived by his sister Isabelle Desrosiers (late Émile) of Ottawa. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Gilles (late Françoise), Gabrielle Tessier (late Hector), Gérard (Marguerite of Cornwall), Marcel (Denise of Laval, Qc), and Alice Lafleur (late Roger). Born in Iroquois Falls, Fernand’s family moved to Sudbury where he attended school. He then furthered his post-secondary education by attending the Institut Agricole d'Oka. He and his wife then settled in Warren, establishing Pine Poultry Farm, which they owned and operated for over 50 years. Fernand was involved with the Ontario Egg Producers' Marketing Board from 1986 to 1996, where he served as director for the North. Fernand was also actively involved in his local church, where he served in various capacities. The family will receive friends at the Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, 17 Rutland Ave, Warren, Thursday, November 28th 2013 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00. Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 29th at 11:00 in St-Thomas Apôtre Church, Warren. Donations to St-Thomas Apôtre Church would be appreciated (cheques only).
