Gaëtan "Ti-Tom"  Laplante
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at the age of 75 years. Son of the late Thomas Laplante and of the late Anna (née Perreault) Laplante. Predeceased by his wife Hélène (née Ducharme) Laplante. Loving father of Pierre Laplante (Rose-Marie) of Desoronto and Diane Laplante (Steve) of Sturgeon Falls. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren Benjamin (Tammy), Billy (Angela), Ricci (Adrienne), Juliette (Bryan), Jeremy (Krista), Christopher (Renée), Isabella, Stephane (Julie), Daniel (Mel) and by his 16 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Johnny Lamoureux, Fernand Lamoureux and Claudette Bogoslowski. Predeceased by his sisters Colette Maisonneuve, Georgette Piette, Jeannine Lessard and Rachel Belisle. Also survived by his brothers-in-law Pierre Coté, Jean Periard, Peter Bogoslowski, Gerry Belisle and by his sisters-in-law Pierrette Ducharme, Jacqueline Coté and Alice Ducharme. Gaëtan was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus council 2566 in the third degree and of Monseigneur Huneault Assembly in the fourth degree. Many thanks and appreciation to Dr. Katsuno, Dr Deschenes and to the staff at the West Nipissing General Hospital for their dedicated and compassionate care for Gaëtan. The family will receive friends at the Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Friday, November 22nd 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00. Saturday friends may call after 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 23rd at 1:30 in Sacré Coeur Church, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated (cheques only).
