The family announces with sorrow her death in Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday, April 12th, 2016 at the age of 95 years. Daughter of the late Harry Rodgers and of the late Lily-May (Beaumont) Rodgers. Predeceased by her husband’s Jack Budd and Jack Samchyk. Loving mother of Ellen Blake (Bob) of Sturgeon Falls, Jackie Budd of Cambridge, George Budd (Diana) of St. Catharines, Nancy Samchyk of Oakville and Jack Samchyk (Ruth Anne) of Jordan. Predeceased by her daughter, Joan Giles (late Bob). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Rick Blake, Ron Blake, Denis Blake, Lily-Anne Benson, Robin Giles, Tim Giles, Geoffry Budd, Erin Samchyk, Andrea Samchyk, her great-grandchildren, Chris Blake, Jennifer Blake, Heather Benson, Melissa Benson, Kyle Blake, Jamie Blake, Mackenzie Budd, Emily Budd, Madison Budd, Benjamin Giles and by her great great grandson Léo Brown. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Harry Rogers, Lesley Rogers, Cora Clark, Evelyn Ruffo and Gertrude Klan. Gladys was special mother to Donna Long and Donna Harrison. A special thanks to a very good friend Blanche Burgin for all her dedication and compassion. A funeral service will be held at a later date.
