The family announces with sorrow his passing away peacefully at his home in Crystal Falls, Sunday, January 20th 2013, at the age of 62 years. Son of the late George Gendron and the late Rita (née Leblanc) Gendron. Loving husband, partner and best friend of 43 years to Debbie (née Pretty) Gendron. He will be greatly missed by his children, Cory (Guadalupe), Dale (Amanda), and Mandy Lagacé (Mitch). Proud and loving Pépère ("Pa") to Tomas, Jude, Josh and Emma. Also survived by his brothers and sisters Claude (Barb), Denise Chartrand (late Maurice), Claudette Rouleau (late Ron), Armande Landry (Gilles), Rhéa Rouleau (Don), and Danielle Sheraton. Predeceased by his brothers Lucien, Fernand, Raymond, Laurent, Omer and by his sisters Noëlla Martin and Lorraine Pestolis. Guy was an employee of INCO for 31 years, after which he retired to his home on Tomiko Lake where he served as a volunteer firefighter for over 10 years and enjoyed fishing, woodworking and his family. Guy was always quick to lend a hand to family, friends, and strangers alike. Thank you to Dr. Bourgault and the VON angels, Linda Lise, Jocelyn and Darren. The family will receive friends at Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 in the funeral home chapel. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Humane Society will be accepted in lieu of flowers (cheques only). Heaven will be getting a good man. You will be deeply missed.
